Gods.. why did it always have to be so…. light when the sun was out? Better yet, why didn’t he just go back to Verev? There was so much less sunlight around… The Darkness Demon could have practically hissed at the sun from the shadows or the room that he was occupying in a small-ish inn. True, he had the curtains pulled back and all that and he didn’t normally mind being out in daylight so much, but Valediel was in a rather black mood and could probably curse just about anything at this point, and it didn’t help that the accursed light still seeped into the room through the curtains. Hence how he had opted for staying indoors on this rather cheerful day.
Practically throwing himself down onto the bed in the room, Valediel contemplated the thought of catching a few ours sleep and getting around that night instead. It would be much easier in more than one way… With a soft sigh, the Demon grabbed the pillow and placed it over his face, and tried to calm his mind enough to allow for rest. It was a losing battle, at first, though he had eventually fallen into a light slumber, as always, ready to awaken at the slightest thing. At least, that was until he slipped farther into sleep than he had intended. The battles between the mind and the body were usually a little one-sided in things like this…
((Feel free to come and bother him ^_~))

Nievor walked into the Inn’s kitchen, rushing towards the back parts as he dropped his bag, by the door. “I know, I know, I’m late…” He apologized to the Innkeep as he grabbed a cloth and threw it over his shoulder. The earth demon smiled gently as the head chef threw another cloth at him before he was out the door. Nie was in a good mood today, the sun was out, and it was warm outside, even for the early morning. Everything was going great! Even the ‘keep had been in a good mood despite him being late, and without further ado, he went into the main room and started to clean the tables, smiling at the few guests that had came down for an early breakfast. It truly was a beautiful day outside. Too bad he had to be inside working and not running around outside, enjoying the sun.
After half an hour of cleaning up, the earth demon got sign that he was to offer a free breakfast to those still in bed. There must not be too many people at the Inn today, or his manager wouldn’t have offered. Perhaps he was feeling generous, but whatever the case, he would hurry to do as he was told, and make sure that everyone got the message.
Silently he walked up the stairs, his gaze turned towards the floor as he walked from door to door, knocking gently and speaking to the people that answered. Soon he was right outside Valediel’s door. He raised his hand and knocked ever so gently, as he stood still and decided to wait to see if there was an answer. If the person was in a deep sleep, they wouldn’t hear him, but there was always the chance that he would wake someone up, and that was what he despised about his job. But, he wasn’t here to complain.
“Inn service, free breakfast downstairs.”
(Please tell me how someone is supposed to react to someone who doesn’t want to get out of his room? I knew my posts were hard to react to, but this is ridiculous! xD You are lucky that the charrie that I wanted to use is oddly enough from Lysten!)

((I guess I learned from the best, huh? ^_~ Hehehe…))
He wasn’t sure what it was that had snapped him so suddenly from sleep, for it was a close thing between the knocking and the person who was talking on the other side of the door. Either way, the Darkness Demon was now wide-awake thanks to the way his mind seemed to be geared. However, he hadn’t really heard a thing that the person had said, seeing as he had a pillow over his head. Tossing it aside, Valediel went to see what it was that this person wanted. Gods… he just hated days like this… days when things just seemed way to bright for his liking, not mention that he already had a disliking for daytime, though that was normal in his kind.
Once he was at the door, he opened it to see who was there. Oh, he knew that he should have expected something like this, but he didn’t really care at the time. All he wanted to know was what the hell the person wanted. Why was it that people always seemed to pick days when he was more liable to lose his temper to bother him? Glancing at the person who was at the door, Valediel figured that it was either one of the staff or some idiot who managed to get to the wrong door wondering why the heck their key wasn’t working. “Would you care to repeat that?” He asked a little coldly. He would try to keep himself in check for now… no sense in trying to beat someone to a pulp when the sun was draining away one’s powers and strength…

Nievor waited calmly, not knowing about whether or not this person was going to be too happy about being awakened rudely by a knock on the door, so he calmly stood silently, sighing faintly to himself. Oh well, one person ticked off at a waiter would be a good way to start off your day. He shifted his position faintly as he heard a faint movement beyond the door and a smile flickered upon his face. Well this was going to be fun. He had just woken someone up, by the sound of it, and now this person was coming to answer the door. What a day this was going to be. At least it was nice out, which would make him feel less horrible for the fact that he had just disturbed someone. They should have merely ignored him though.
He noticed the darkness demon as the man opened the door and nodded to him happily. But, his smile disappeared as he noticed the coldness with which the other answered him. He merely shook it off, and kept a polite look on his face. “Sorry for bothering you sir, I just wanted to tell you that we are serving a free breakfast today, and I wanted to inform that it is starting now, if you would like to take advantage of the fact that it was free.” The earth demon said calmly as he observed the others mood. He didn’t want to get attacked because he was doing his job, but he didn’t exactly want to leave with the person thinking of him as a coward, or a fool. So he had to stay here until the other either accepted his news, or slammed the door on his face… He was suspecting that the later would be the response that he would receive. (Oh shush! *mutters about Vale needing to find another person to torture* Look at me, I have loads! X-D)

Valediel rolled his eyes at the Demon. He came to bother him about breakfast?! What did he care for something like that? He knew he should have chosen another inn… but no, he had to just take first one he came across. Suppressing a sigh, the Dark Demon shot Nievor a glare, but didn’t dignify him with a reply. He turned away from the door sharply, leaving the door wide open, and gathered his things. Meaning his staff, seeing as he kept his daggers in his belt, and whatever else he had brought along with him, which wasn’t much. It was easier to move from place to place when unnecessary things didn’t weigh you down.
Returning to the doorway a few moments later, and stopped in from of Nievor. “Move.” Came the sharp command. Valediel didn’t care that he didn’t really have the right to order the Earth Demon around, but he was in no mood to deal with people in any amounts of words than the essential. He stood there, waiting for Nievor to get out of his way, his eyes hard and cold. Oh… he was just itching to take things out on the Demon…

Oh how he hated disturbing people for the littlest of things, but there was nothing that he could do, the manager had sent him up here. He merely sent the demon a soft smile in apology as Valediel rolled his eyes. The Earth demon winced as they man shot him a glare wondering why he even bothered to try and be nice to people at times. Some people just weren’t the nice type of people, and he had always been decently good at reading another’s mood. But Nievor couldn’t do much about it. Some people were naturally rude when others were forced to do their job. It wasn’t the easiest thing to do, opposite of popular beliefs. Some people just… Just… Just weren’t the type of people to come and knock on their door. But, the Earth demon had become accustomed to such people; he met enough of them in the run of a day.
As the Dark Demon returned and merely shot him a sharp command, the Earth Demon stared at him for a moment. It was as though his gaze was telling the other that he could decide not to move, but also filled with a faint patience. He merely bowed towards the other, keeping his gaze upon the land as his kindness shone through. “Of course, sir.” He said softly as he got out of the other’s way, making sure to keep his face natural. He wouldn’t want Valediel to see the faint annoyance within his mind, but Nievor merely reminded himself that Valediel had probably just had very long day, even if it had just begun. That, or he was stuck with a relentless hangover, and he was not a social person. But, whatever the matter, it didn’t mean anything to him. “Will you be staying another night?” He inquired, as was ritual. If not, he would have to send another up to clean the room, and even if he was, he would have to do the same.
He cringed inwardly, knowing that Vale was probably just looking for someone to take his horrible mood out on someone. And the Earth Demon couldn’t help but think that since he was actually doing his job for once, the man’s next target might just be him. It was merely a thought, a small simple innocent thought that flared to life within the demon’s mind. Today was only going to be a bit harder than yesterday, or at least, that was what he was thinking as he steeled himself faintly against any words that might be thrown in his direction. What a day this would be.
