Fal gave her a weak smile as she asked him if he still thought Novience home. It was true that they rarely ventured upon its harsh land now that they had left and taken to a constant travel and joined the rebels not too long after they had started… some millennia ago. What was he to say? He hadn’t an absolute reason why he called the place home, and he doubted it was because his family resided there. Perhaps it was merely habit that forced him to call it so, perhaps it was something else. The wind demon seriously didn’t know. For all Fal knew, he could merely calm it home because that meant in the long run that they still had a place to return to, despite everything that would happen in the future, that no matter how much trouble they got into, they had their haven. But his home wasn’t what you would call a haven, especially not with his brother randomly appearing. His older brother would love to get him and Ash thrown and locked up in Klyera that much was obvious whenever they came nose to nose.
In response to her first question, Falreidir answered with a shrug. She probably knew that he didn’t know the true reasons why. He merely called it home, because that was the only place where they actually had a house or a similarity to their own house. Yup, that explained it all; it was because they had a rather large building, that they shared with his parents. At the other places, all they had were trees, and ground, and rocks… It didn’t suit well. They needed a house! “It’s because of the house…” He said with a faint wink. He certainly was in high humors for his thoughts to take such odd forms.
Again with the questions! She was going to murder his mind some day if she didn’t slow down on the questions. It was bad enough that she was making him think! Well, no, he liked thinking, and he was always alert and with an answer to most predicaments. “I don’t know… three-four days to a week… Why Ash? Don’t want to stay there that long?” He inquired with a smirk. He always wondered why Ashyzai called Novience home also, but he had never asked her the question. He had never dared to try and dig into her personal life, not past what she had showed him. They knew each other well, but they still had a few things that neither of them would tell the other. It was like that with everyone.

“The house… I see…” Ashyzai repeated, shaking her head slightly. The Shapeshifter didn’t really want to know why Falreidir had given such an odd answer. If she ever figured out how the Wind Demon thought more so than she already had, to a certain extent, she would start thinking like him… and that was plain scary. True, staying in a house was better than sleeping outdoors, but when you had to live with two brothers who were always at odds, well… Let’s just say that it wasn’t the most ‘relaxing’ vacation one could have. Nope… especially when Fal’s brother didn’t only seem to have something against Fal, but her as well. Why, she couldn’t fathom. Perhaps it was because Ash was his friend and they always seemed to get into trouble. Either way…
At Fal’s answer, she shot him a look before she answered him. “You know I don’t like staying long.” She said. “And it doesn’t really help when your ‘three or four days to a week’ can turn out to be anywhere from two weeks to a couple months or more!” It wasn’t that she didn’t like the area per say, but how would you like it if you had to dodge your parents day in day out because you know how they would react to your being there, meaning get so happy you’d think they were special in the head, and try to not get yourself killed by a certain Wind Demon who had something against the visitors.
((Meh… blah…))

Falreidir laughed faintly as he noticed that she was faintly confused, or at least, that was how it seemed. He knew that she didn’t want to figure out his mind anytime soon. She would be startled by the way he formed his thoughts and utter wise, very scared to be able to actually understand the way he thinks! But, he wasn’t going to comment anytime soon. He continued to watch her, having been with her so long, he could almost read her thoughts… Now there was another scary thought… Him thinking like her. It utterly mortified him, and he knew that he would have nightmares for nights to come just thinking about it. Actually, no, it was an exaggeration, but it was how he felt it should be. But it was the look that made him crack up and start laughing softly. Oh, he knew his friend way too well… He could almost mock the words coming out of her mouth before she said them. Yup, they certainly had a brother and sister relationship and bond, no one could deny that, and even though they wouldn’t say it out loud, the two of them knew it.
“I know, I know… I was joking! We shouldn’t be there too long. I just want to show my parents that I haven’t forgotten about them, yet.” He said with a smirk as he tilted his head, his smile disappearing, and a blank look crossing his face. She just had to bring that up again! She did this often enough when he teased her about staying a bit longer than expected, but seriously… “I was wounded!” He exclaimed as he ran his hand through his hair. “It wasn’t my fault… and my brother didn’t help my leg.” He muttered softly as he continued forward. “I’d like to see you get hurt so badly that you wouldn’t be able to shift and see how you like it.” He shot back calmly, though a smile went upon his lips, warning her not to take the edge in his words seriously. At least he and Ash could relate in a few ways, and not liking to stay long in one place seemed to be one of the things. (Blah)

When the Wind Demon started laughing, Ashyzai merely rolled her eyes. Her friend was always laughing at her one way or another, or close to it. But, one would learn to put up with it eventually. However, it was her turn to smirk when Falreidir tried to defend himself. Of course, she knew that he had been wounded when they had ended up staying at his parents’ house for so long, but how often did the Shapeshifter really get the chance to shot something back at him when the Demon was always teasing her in some way? Truthfully, Ash had the feeling sometimes that Fal did it for fun… Which was probably more than likely.
“I was wounded.” Ashyzai replied, mimicking Falreidir’s voice as best she could. Of course, it was no where near the real thing, which was precisely why she was doing it. “You know, it wouldn’t hurt if Mister Tough-Guy here asked for help.” She said poking him squarely in the arm to punctuate the Demon’s ‘name’. She knew that she had laughed at him for his injury, but that didn’t mean that the shifter wouldn’t have helped if he had asked… Though, she wouldn’t have let him hear the last of it either. Either way, she wouldn’t forget about it. “That could be interesting… But how likely do you think that would be?” Ashyzai asked, her voice sounding as if she were truly curious about it, though only the gods knew that she would have had to have been at least out cold to find out what it would be like to get hurt and not be able to shift.
((Yeah, yeah... I know... I took my time...))

Fal couldn’t help but smirk as the shifter ‘mimicked’ his voice. He was so unused to hearing her being in these teasing moods that it actually startled him. Of course they were always shooting something at one another during one moment or the next, but what was the male supposed to do? Expect her to merely shoot back her own opinions at him? No, not at all! Ash wasn’t one that usually fooled around. On most occasions, she would never let him hear the end of it when he teased her, but he sometimes got the feeling that she didn’t care as much as she showed. He merely wondered how she would react if one day he wouldn’t say anything at all. He would have to try and do that to her. Be nice to her for a few days, and not say anything that would be considered teasing. She would probably think that the council had brainwashed him and that she would have to hunt down every member to find the cure. Not that she would do it. She was Ashyzai after all; she cared for no one but herself. But it would be amusing to see her reaction.
He didn’t comment when she told him that he could have only asked for help, for both of them knew that that wouldn’t have worked, for he would have never heard her stop talking about how the ‘strong’ Fal needed help. But at her last words, he merely chuckled softly. “I don’t know, but I wouldn’t want to think about it.” He answered as he continued on his way. He didn’t want to think of his friend wounded, for though he teased the hell out of her, he cared for her as a brother would care for his sister. It wasn’t surprising that some thought them lovers. But he didn’t say anything more, not liking the thoughts of seeing Ash hurt. He didn’t mind his own pain, but he had never truly seen her badly wounded, and he didn’t want that to happen any time soon.

“Me neither, actually… I might be stuck as you!” She replied with a touch of sarcasm. Hmm… teasing was more fun than she’d thought… WAIT! Bad thought. Jut one more habit she was beginning to pick up… well, who could blame her? You’d be bound to pick up that kind of behavior after a while of traveling with Falreidir. However, although she would rather die than admit it to even herself, when the Wind Demon had been hurt too badly for them to travel, the Shapeshifter had worry nipping at her mind, though she didn’t recognize it and turned it into something that she was far more familiar with. Ashyzai was just glad that he hadn’t managed to get himself killed. Not that that wasn’t exactly a rare occurrence for them both; close calls with death seemed to walk side-by-side with them on some days.
Eventually, Ash could see a smudging of the horizon, sign that they were nearing their destination. Joyful. She wasn’t exactly what you might call fond of the idea of going home for a while, and she wasn’t sure why she was even accompanying Fal there, but sleeping on an actual bed for a few days wasn’t a half bad idea… And, of course, there was all the fun they could want! Really, to get yourself amused, you only had to look at someone the wrong way at times! Fun and exercise all in one, nice package… Now wasn’t that convenient? “Looks like we’re almost there.” She commented, her electric blue eyes lingering on the distant town.

The Wind Demon looked at her, shooting her a hurt look as he placed a hand over his heart as though he felt a sharp pain lingering there. “Now that hurt.” He said softly, his voice low and his face taking on aspects of childish pain. But, that didn’t last too long, for the pained look was washed off his face rather quickly as he looked around, enjoying the silence of the forest. It wasn’t as though the remark had actually hurt him. He had been expecting it to come along, for Ashyzai had always been cold towards people, hence the reason, more often than not, he had to speak with anyone that they were trying to deal with. And this was only to make sure that they didn’t have people at their necks within the first five minutes of the conversation! It was much too common for them to have a hard time trying to get things done. It didn’t help that Ash looked odd, for some people wondered just exactly might be wrong with her, and saying that they didn’t like the council often didn’t work out either. In the end, it was merely a game of luck, and “Let’s see who we can talk to without getting maimed today!” Always a fun game.
Falreidir allowed his eyes to travel as he noticed the town in the distance, merely shifting his gaze to something else. He felt the faint relief that they were finally somewhere where they could rest and relax for a few days before trying to get themselves murdered again. But, he didn’t need to get into details with that fact, anyone that knew them, knew this to be true. “Yeah, at least one night of peace should be given to us in the future.” He smirked, allowing his thoughts to be hinted towards Ash. As scary as it sounded, they have been together for such a long time; it was almost as though they thought like one another. And that would be quite the horror for anyone around them. Their thoughts were rarely sane, and even when they were, the tasks that they would try to accomplish were insane. So, that was a perfect combination. “What do you plan on doing once you get there?” He inquired curiously, his gaze once more upon the town, also.

“Oh, I’m sorry, gentle sir. Did I hurt your feelings?” Ashyzai asked in a sweet voice of a young girl. “I just thought that maybe the world had enough with only one of you around… It would probably come to an apocalyptic end if there were two” She continued with a wink. Strange mood she was in… Well, if you wanted to call her something, it definitely wasn’t stable… Her moods could change as quickly as the winds at times! In any case, the Shapeshifter kept putting one foot in front of the other, bringing her closer and closer to ‘home’, to her childhood haunts. When Fal asked her what she planned on doing when they got there, she merely rolled her eyes. First of all, she really didn’t know herself, but she had the feeling they would be meeting up with his family, hopefully not his brother, though, and, secondly, well… there just wasn’t any ‘secondly’.
“Depends, I suppose.” Ash answered cryptically, not really wanting to ponder further on the question. Maybe they should get ‘reacquainted’ with some of the people there… in more ways than one. Meaning that people were probably going to think her insane on top of very weird-looking. However, there was always Falreidir around who didn’t seem to want to let her have her fun… Well, the Demon was probably right, but that didn’t mean she had to like it. “What about you? Try and see why the heck your brother has a problem with you if he’s there?” She asked in return, a small laugh escaping her. She knew that that was probably impossible, seeing as the elder Demon sibling would probably either try and kill them on sight, or just walk away if they happened to be in his parents’ home.
“One more question; do you want to keep walking all night, or do you want to get some rest before tomorrow?” Ashyzai asked, noting the darkening sky. She hadn’t expected to get to Novience all in one day from the docking area, but the Shifter had no problem with walking all night… Fal had made her take a long nap earlier anyway.
