Humans are nothing special, the average person you see hanging around cities and towns, living much like other species. They can look like anything, and only a few possess magical powers. When they do, these humans are sent to special schools that teach them to use their powers. They make excellent warriors and bowmen, and usually stay in their home country for the rest of their lives, chosing a profession that runs in the family.

Shapeshifters, by nature, are a silver liquid that can go anywhere. They can become anything simply by picturing it in their minds. They cannot, however, shift into dragons or angels because, of the immortal life span, they would remain in that form for the duration of their lives. Because they can shift their form so quickly, they can be extremely hard to fight as there is almost no blow that can damage them.
Shapeshifters are subservient to just about anyone, except humans, but mainly to vampires. Unlike most other species, the shapeshifters cannot work any type of magic, although they can shift into another species that can, such as a demon. They can also shift certain parts of their bodies, making them ideal to have around for tight spots.
Shapeshifters do not breed with their own kind. There's no way it could happen. The only way they can produce offspring would be for them to breed with another species and produce a child that is part shifter. There is also an option of genetic manipulation, but that is usually avoided.
Shapeshifters are a rare occurence nowadays, so if you encounter one, be honored. Rare Species

Demons are the things of children’s stories that steal disobedient children and eat them for dinner. Not these demons. These demons are human-like beings, their physical forms being almost identical to those of humans. They are graceful beings, honorable and anything but the dark-hearted beings of children’s stories. True, some of them are cruel and evil, but only a few, most being so distant from other that they don’t get close enough to others of different kinds there’s not chance for them to be evil.
Demons have different classes, meaning they control different elements. There are six regular classes of demons, two rare, and the class is passed down from family to family. They only control what their class is. The classes are as follows:
-Fire- They control fire. They can light anything on fire, whether it is flammable or not. They can also make it look like something is burning and it’s really not. They like to live by volcanoes or lava pools.
-Earth- They control the power of earth. They can make anything grow anywhere, at any time. They tend to stay near the forests.
-Wind- They control the winds. They can kill people by cutting off their air supply, and can brew storms. They love to live in high places, such as mountains.
-Water- They control water, whether it is fresh or salt, although most of them prefer to choose one. They can start tidal waves, tornados, and hurricanes with a flick of their wrists.
-Light- They control anything that light from the sun touches, and are limited to only using their powers during the daytime. They can control everything that the sunlight touches, whether it’s water, earth, or fire. The only thing they can’t control at any time is Wind. They like to be in well-lit places and wince every time it gets dark. Some believe that shutting a Light Demon in a room with no light is the only way to kill it.
-Darkness- They are the polar opposite of Light Demons. They can control anything that light does not touch, and work best at night. They are also fueled by the moon, so if they are deprived of moonlight, they will die. They love to live in dungeons and other dark places.
-Chaos- They love to wreck havoc on the small villages and holds, feasting on the terror and disharmony of the townsfolk. They usually start wars and can destroy something just by touching it. They love to live on battlefields and places where there is discord. (Rare Species)
Demons are very sheltered beings, keeping to their own kind, thus making inter-racial mating between demons and other species a thing that is frowned upon. When a demon mates with a different race, the child is usually abandoned or killed, as well as the parent, but parent and child are separated. Most demons fear this, since they are a close-knit community, so they rarely have inter-species relationships.
The appearance of demons is much like humans, save that they have a marking somewhere on their body that distinguishes what kind of demon they are. For instance, a fire demon will have a flame mark somewhere on their body, a water demon a droplet of water.
The Chaos demons, however, have every mark on their body, though in different places. The Chaos demons are also special because when two Chaos demons mate, they don’t produce other chaos demons, but any other kind of demon. For instance, if two chaos demons had four kids, the kids would be fire, water, earth, and wind demons. One in every 247 demons born is a Chaos demon, making them rare.

The Cigazzé are a race of humanoid beings that are human in almost every way. Between the ages of 0 and 14, a child Cigazzé’s dæmon, the other half of their soul personified, can take the form of any animal they wish, and it often reflects the emotions of the Cigazzé. When they hit the age of 14, their dæmon chooses their final form and they stay that way for the rest of their lives. For instance, Razoul, the chieftain of a northern tribe, has a white tiger dæmon, while Fer’zra, a priestess, has a skylark dæmon. A child Cigazzé never knows the final form of their dæmon, and the dæmon is usually the opposite gender from the Cigazzé they are bonded to.
The bond between Cigazzé and dæmon is strong. They feel each others emotions while feeling their own simultaneously, have their own thoughts and ideas while being able to tell the thoughts of the other, and can never be more than a few feet away from each other. It is also forbidden for any humanoid being to touch a Cigazzé’s dæmon, or a Cigazzé’s dæmon to touch another humanoid, though one dæmon can touch another dæmon. It is also possible for a Cigazzé and their dæmon to be ‘cut’ from one another, although this is seen as the highest crime; for once Cigazzé and dæmon are separated, they will both die within three days of the severing. In order to sever a Cigazzé from his or her dæmon, one must set the two beside one another and slice a mythril blade through the air between them, to sever the invisible bond between them. The severing of a Cigazzé and dæmon is punishable by death.
The Cigazzé are an average human in terms of lifespan, and mortality. They can be affected by any illness, any wound, and are susceptible to age. They can mate with people who are not Cigazzé, however there is only a 5% chance that the child will be born Cigazzé. One in twenty children with a single Cigazzé parent will be born Cigazzé. If their other parent is not human, meaning they are of another race that has an extended mortality, they will also carry on traits of that parent. For instance, an elf/ Cigazzé pairing could produce an elven (in appearance) child with a dæmon partner.
((The Cigazzé are based on Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials Trilogy. Read them. They're t3h awesome.))
NOTE: I just changed 'will produce an' to 'could produce an', due to the 5% chance of producing a Cigazzé.

The Elves are a mystical race blessed with the ability to live for as long as they want, and are immune to sickness and disease. They are tall, ranging from 6’4” to 6’8”, with long hair and graceful limbs. Well balanced and poised, the Elves are highly respected for their wisdom and ability to be silent killers. They are a diminishing race, but are still prominent on the planet.
As mentioned, they are tall, with long hair and graceful limbs. Their hair can be either brown or blonde, usually blonde, and their eyes are either blue or green, and the very rare brown. They are well proportioned, as species go, and they are beautiful by human standards. Their ears come to a soft point on the tip, and their senses are enhanced, such as sight and hearing. They are usually clothed in white or light colors, and prefer to live outside than in enclosed buildings.
The Elves are blessed with the ability to speak telepathically, see the future, and be unaffected by temperatures and disease. When they speak telepathically, they must make eye contact with the person they wish to speak with. Only a select few can contact others without the eye contact. They can see the future, in dreams, but they cannot speak what they have seen, for their spirits close their minds and makes them forget when they attempt to tell others. The Elves are impervious to disease and climates, so they could walk through a frozen tundra dressed in shorts and a short-sleeved shirt.
Elves are immortal, because they cannot die from disease or famine. The only way an Elf could die would be from heartbreak or being slain. When an elf dies of heartbreak it is because it’s one love in life has either passed away as well or abandoned them. They can also be slain, but it is highly unlikely unless they are in a war. With their heightened senses, they are able to detect an enemy attack before it happens.
Elves also have an animal-mate or a creature that was born as their spirit incarnate. This animal can be anything, and up until their elf turns 1000 years old, this animal can change it’s form. Their final form is up to the elf.

Vampires, also know as children of the night, are demonic beings that feed on the blood of others. They themselves are dead, trapped forever in the time that they were taken into Shadow. Their bodies regenerate, they are undying, and no sickness comes upon them. The only way to kill a vampire is by using a metal called ‘thurandum,’ a silver metal coated in a poison that is lethal to vampires. Thurandum is located only in remote areas of the north, and is very rare.
Vampires are beautiful to say the least. They posses the beauty of the gods, and there is no fault on their bodies. Lithe and thin, the vampires are only fragile in appearance. They posses a strength unmatched to any other being, and their only weakness is the neck area. They usually have black or white hair, although it is possible for young vampires to have brown or blonde. Their eyes are bright and clearer than human eyes, allowing them to see in any kind of light. Their eyes often glow in low-light areas.
The process of becoming a vampire is a horrid and terrible experience and those that experience or view it are forever in torment. First, the vampire bites the neck of another being, human or otherwise, and drains some of it’s blood. Then they cut a slice in their own body, either wrist or ankle, and force their victim to drink that blood. The moment the first drop of blood passes their lips, the victim craves the blood of others. If they don’t drain their master’s blood, the fledgling then undergoes the transformation. Their heart dies, causing them to convulse as if they were having an attack. This is a slow and painful process, and if the pain doesn’t kill them, the new fledgling is in shock for a while, unused to moving without blood pumping through their veins. After a while they are able to move, and if they don’t drink blood within 24 hours, they die.
Vampires are dark creatures, so they work black magic. Black magic consists of elemental spells and wicked things. They can cause death with a simple snap of their fingers, and cause pain with a casual flick of their wrists. They are also able to bring the dead back to life with a complicated, but this spell will either claim the life of the user or put him in a coma for years.
Vampires have been given the special ability to read the auras of other beings, which makes it near impossible for a person to fool a vampire. The person has to be at least ten times stronger than a vampire to hide their identity. Rare Species Vampires are now closed as Character options. I have 3 already, and that's plenty. No mas.

Angel's were the first creatures placed in the world by the creator. They have seen the world and all it's other inhabitants grow and learn and they know the entire history of it all. However, dispite all this people have been misinformed of what they are and or stand for. People tend to believe that Dark and Light Angel's are each other's counterparts, one standing for good...the other for evil. This of course is completely untrue. Both Angel's live together and have lived together since thier creation. They used to reign supreme over the lands of demons, elves, and all others, keeping the peace throughout. But, when the creator placed man in the world everything change. Man brought with him a quality unknown to others....greed. The desire to be stronger and have more then all others. The Angel's allied with the Elves and together they helped fight the humans. However, the battle raged for thousands upon thousands of years and still no side won. Today that feud is all but dead, ending with the last Seraph(King of the Angel's), his last wish was for peace to be brought in. So the Angel's sealed off thier last homeworld left, Delastin, from all other beings. Only Angel's may come and go from it now, and only they know of it's location. With that they left man to his fate and decided only to help the other beings who needed it.
The description of "Light" or "Dark" given to an Angel is only referring to the type of magic that they study. For all Angel's when they are born are completely Grey in color and they stay so until they begin studying a magic type. A "Light" tends to study the magic principals of healing and protective spells, while "Dark" Angel's tend to practice the ways of Elemental and Destruction spells. Color comes to Angel's as they learn thier magic. Light Angel's tending to have white or blonde hair, white wings and an overall white wardrobe. While Dark Angel's have Black or Brown hair, black wings, and wear darker clothing. Of course there are some differences in all angel's coloring. Angel's don't start learning magic until thier 1000th year of life. Which is about 10 in human years.
When it comes to Angel's personality the only thing they all share in common is a high sense of honor and a desire to do the right thing, but that is all. They all have different views and idea's and there are some who even venture out of thier world to explore the other places. Rare Species

The Noir are empaths. They have the ability to feel the emotions of others, whether they want to or not. They appear as any human does, the same bipedal body with the same features, which allows them to move undetected amongst the human population. Their aura’s are unreadable, so this makes them appear as any normal human to those that can see the aura’s of others, like elves and vampires. The one distinguishable feature on the bodies of the Noir is a small ‘tattoo’ located on their bodies, the mark of the tribe they were born into. This mark can be found anywhere on the Noir, and is different for each.
The tribes of the Noir are nomads, and are hard to find. They are small, usually about 10-12 people in a tribe, because with the emotions swirling around them it’s hard for them to live together in peace. They are led by the head of the tribe, usually the oldest male. Most of the tribes are interrelated, so it’s not uncommon for one Noir to mate with his/her cousin. Male Noir are more common than female Noir, but the race in itself is rare. The men dominate the tribe, being in command, and often you will find same-sex pairings or more than one female belonging to a male because of the females rarity.
The Noir, because of their ability to feel the emotions of others (and some translate the emotion into physical senses like pain or pleasure, which is a rare trait), they must be trained from an early age to control their senses. They are taught to block the emotions, to set up walls around their heads to keep from ‘hearing’ the emotions of others. Also, if they are one of the few that translate the emotion into physical sense, they must be taught fast, for if the emotions of a person near that Noir is too strong, then they could be killed.
The Noir are long living beings, living to be between the ages of 1,000 and 6,000 years. The age varies due to how skilled the Noir is at blocking the emotions of others. They are not immortal, however, and once they reach the age of 6,000 exactly, they immediately die. The Noir have the inate ability to sense when they are going to die, as well. Their physical bodies stop aging when the Noir chooses. Some stop aging as young as eight or nine, others in their fourties. However, no Noir exceeds the age of 51 physically. Once they choose their age, they are given a new name, not the name they were born with, and there is a ceremony held by the leader of the tribe to rename the Noir. That is their adult name. Some choose to keep their childhood name should they like it, but others will change it as soon as they can. Still others, while they have selected their age, have not selected their new name, and may not until they are nearing the dying age. These Noir are called ‘Mortes’, and are the black sheep of their family. Rare Species
